Ball Gowns
To be honest, ball gowns never went out of style. How could they, when they offer such a classic fairytale look? Still, it’s amazing just how popular ball gowns have been so far in 2020.
Sleeves are one of the keys to making the ball gown your own. Billowy sleeves and sleeveless are completely different looks. This is also a great silhouette if you want to go with if you want a colorful dress.
Pants
In the past couple years, bridal styles have been unafraid of power and assertiveness. Taking a page from Bianca Jagger’s ‘71 dress, that’s meant everything from suits to blazers to shoulder pads to pants.
We’re partial to pants, which combine versatility, comfort, and swagger. In many ways, they’re the exact opposite of ball gowns, which let you feel like a princess. Pants allow you to be the king!
Fit & Flare
Just like pants, one of the biggest strengths of the fit and flare dress is the comfort that it provides. It helps you show off your curves, but it’s not quite as unforgiven as the eternally-popular mermaid silhouette can sometimes be.
This is an especially popular dress if you’re excited to get out on the dance floor!
Lace
Lace is an important part of many bridal dresses, but what makes it so special in 2020 is the fact that allover crochet lace is becoming so popular. This can be traditional or a bold statement, depending on how you wear it. Either way, it’s a great way to turn heads when you walk down the aisle.
This is usually a summer style, in the same way that floral dresses are typically for Spring weddings. But as with everything bridal, we say the most important thing is to make sure that you’re happy!
